Enjoy life by enjoying life - SMILE

Enjoy life by enjoying life

You want to enjoy life; here is something that can make this possible.

We will take one thing at a time. How do you feel when some one gives you a truly heart felt smile? If you’re like most people it makes you feel good. So what is so wrong with giving others a smile? You make them feel good and you in turn feel good.

Smiling helps relax your face muscles, thus less tension. With the world full of things that can give you tension in your life, by just smiling you have the ability of reducing tension in your life.

What do you think? Please share things that have happened to you when you gave a smile from the heart.

David,

You remind me of something that shocked me when I started speaking professionally. I'm a happy guy. I smile a lot. In fact, I often feel like I'm smiling. Such was the case when I started speaking -- I thought I was smiling because I felt like I was. But I often received the same comment, "Great presentation Mace, but you need to smile more."

The take home message -- make sure you are actually smiling (check the mirror).

David, thanks for the reminder to smile! I find that it's so easy in the course of the day to forget that and walk around with a permanent frown. My gramma used to say my face would freeze like that and maybe she was on to something. I've been trying to get my face to 'set' in more of a smile...hard work but worth it. Dr. Rebecca

David,

Smile is such a powerful tool! It allows us to make it a happier day for everyone around us and it allows us to find a positive outlook even under the toughest of situations. If all of us advocated for "Smiles a Day!" this would definitely be a more positive and happy world!

Smiling helps to change attitudes too! When you are in a bad mood try smiling and see what happens.

David,

I smiled when I read your article. What you say is true. It's interesting that most people don't smile until you've smiled first. Maybe we're all a little bit shy with strangers?

David,

Absolutely wonderful advice! On occasions where I am helping people understand the keys to greater success in life, I make a big deal out of the importance of developing the skill of smiling at people. I like to say, "Ever wonder why people don't smile? Maybe it's because you didn't smile at them first."

I feel better already. I'll try and remember to smile occassionally when alone in my office or studio because it just feels so good. It is easy to do it when people are around to react. Maybe a mirror in my office would help me remember I am a people too and deserve a smile. Maybe that will bring about spontaneous smiles just to keep people guessing what you are up to. Thanks for the reminder to smile and enjoy life.

David,
This is right on the mark! The first word I ever said to my wife was smile! We have been together ever since, and just celebrated our 10th anniversary of being together. Smiling breaks down all barriers, if only more people understood this. The world would be a better place!
